Pay monthly for intelligence. Pay for outcomes when they happen.
Your monthly plan includes Intelligence credits for research, monitoring and verification. Success fees are separate, and are earned only when Middleman completes an outcome agreed with you in advance.
Your plan defines the monthly credits. Every success-fee engagement also needs a short outcome record, so both charges have a written boundary.
01
Credit schedule
The monthly allocation, what uses credits and the rules that apply to unused credits.
02
Exact outcome
The product, service or milestone, including specification, timing, authority and commercial limits.
03
Completion evidence
The records that prove the outcome happened and the cases that do not count.
04
Success fee + costs
The success fee, any approved third-party costs, the review window and the dispute process.
Questions
The details that stop “outcome-based” becoming vague.
01What does the monthly base rate buy?
It buys a monthly allocation of Intelligence credits. Those credits pay for work such as structuring requirements, researching supply, monitoring markets, checking evidence and comparing offers. Your plan states the credit allocation, usage rules and any rollover before you subscribe.
02Do we pay the monthly base if no outcome is completed?
Yes. The monthly base pays for the intelligence work carried out and the credits used. If no agreed outcome is completed, there is no success fee on top.
03What will the success fee be?
It depends on the requirement, difficulty, urgency, transaction value and the result you want us to own. You will see either one fixed fee or one formula before you authorise the work. We do not change it after the search has started unless you change the outcome.
04What if Middleman finds an option and we do not accept it?
An unaccepted option does not count as success. If the agreed outcome requires an accepted offer and a completed handover, finding a possible option does not earn a success fee.
05Can a successful handoff count before delivery?
Only if we agree that milestone in writing before work starts. Some engagements may end at a verified introduction or completed handoff. Others may require collection, delivery, acceptance or cleared payment. The engagement record controls the answer.
06What costs are separate from the success fee?
Third-party costs such as inspection, testing, freight, insurance, escrow or specialist services are separate. Nothing chargeable is commissioned without your approval, and the engagement record states which party pays it.
07What happens if the result is disputed?
The success fee is not treated as earned while the agreed evidence is missing or a dispute about the success criteria remains open. The written engagement sets the evidence, review window and resolution process.
